This is my half of a trade with *RioX3X. She requested a lying pose, and I think it came out pretty good myself. :)
I didn't want to do a side view or front view so I made it at an angle. And to be honest, I've never pulled this pose off successfully before, I'm so proud of myself. :excited: I personally love the front chest where the front legs are crossed, that's my favourite bit of the entire picture and I enjoyed working on that bit quite a lot. (and the back leg to be honest, but not as much as the front bit. :D )
The weakest point I'd have to say are the wings. I was trying to go for foreshortening, but it has never been one of my strong points. So although I think it looks ok I have my doubts on wether I did it correctly, any critique on this matter would be greatly appreciated...
I had troubles placing the head at first, as I wanted her facing the viewer, but found that having her facing in that direction, admiring the view, worked out better, - it was easier to achieve and it complemented the composition better.

Well, there you have it Rio, enjoy. :)

That's amazing. The only thing I can say about the wings is that I think they look odd because of the way they're positioned.

"Think. Can we ever be sure that anything we know is true or real? What if this is all a dream?"
I don't like small dark spaces...they remind me too much of the recesses of my mind.

Wow - that's unbelieveably stunning. This is the level of shading I'm trying (and failing) to get myself to. The whole composision of the dragon is near flawness, the lines of its body flow and connect perfectly. Also the contrast between such a gentle face and powerful body really adds character to the piece. And I see why you love that chest so much, it's amazing.

*dies of awe and envy* :)
