This is my half of an art trade with ~themurderdoll13.

This has taken me a while to do, the hardest part being the posing. I wanted to try something a little different, inspired by a sketch of mine.
I quite like how this came out, after the posing and managing to get the light from the right angle. To be honest most time went into tinkering with the shadows and the contrast, trying to get the right 'feel' to it in a sense...

My favourite is the paw in front, I spent ages getting it to look right, but it didn't frustrate me, and also the underbelly, as I had loads of fun getting the shadows right there.

The only thing I'm not too happy with is how dark the picture is overall. I was trying to shade it evenly but as I progressed dark shadows called for softer shading and different areas had to be darkened because of the direction of the light. I'm not sure how I could have done it better as I noticed this too late, so I decided to just go with it and not worry too much about it.

Sketched and shaded with normal HB drawing pencil, details and sharper blacks done with a 0.5 mechanical pencil and cleaned up in PS.
